Our Teachers

Michelle Edgecumbe
Director and AM Teacher
Michelle came to Cupertino Co-op Nursery School in 1995 as a participating parent. CCNS offered her the opportunity to be part of her children’s first school experience. “As a very inexperienced parent, CCNS provided the guidance and support I needed to make me feel like a successful parent.” CCNS has also provided the opportunity to make and maintain wonderful friendships that will last a lifetime.

Coming back with her last child Michelle was offered the opportunity to become the Director and AM teacher. “How lucky I am to be back in an environment that allows me to share the joys of childhood with so many wonderful and gifted individuals.”

Michelle grew up in Los Altos, attended local schools and received a degree in Education as well as a teaching credential from California State University at Fresno. Michelle has taught Kindergarten and First Grade in the Santa Clara Unified School District for eight years. Michelle and husband Eric have 3 children.

Lori Guidotti
AM Teacher

Lori Guidotti began teaching at CCNS in 2001. She spent six years in a parent participation preschool when her daughters were young and also spent 15+ years as an active parent in their elementary school. “I love the coop environment and fully believe you need to be an involved parent throughout their entire education. I feel lucky to be working in such a warm, nurturing environment.”

Lori has a B.S. degree from San Jose State University and 24 units of Graduate Studies in the field of Educational Counseling. Her parents are San Jose natives. She has been married for 27 years and has three daughters in college. The oldest is married and is in Naturopathic Medical School.

Monica McCabe
PM Teacher
Monica is a parent alumna of the school. Her 3 children all attended CCNS. Monica and her husband, Larry, both really valued and enjoyed the CCNS preschool experience. They both served on the board of CCNS for 3 years. Monica graduated from Santa Clara University. She has continued to be active in her children's education: volunteering in the classroom as a school art docent, serving as PTA president, and being a Brownie Girl Scout co-leader. "Returning to teach at CCNS is a dream come true." She and her husband are both native San Franciscans, and have been married for 19 years.

Jeanette Kruskamp
PM Teacher
Jeanette joined CCNS at the beginning of 2004. She has taught at another co-op school for eight years as teacher co-director. When her children were born, she realized how important the first years of a child's life are. This is when she entered the studies of Early Childhood Education. She believes in providing a nurturing, hands-on environment in order for children to grow and develop in their five selves. She also believes that Early Childhood Education can make a difference and that parents are a significant part of their child's life.
